I'm Still Here!

It's amazing how time flies when you're living life. I should have been blogging all the things I have been up to since my last post in June. I am still having ups and downs from transplant, but it's nothing major. It's little things like mild rejection and fluid around my lungs, but nothing to get too concerned about at this point. I had a great summer with my family. I have a friend who had a baby and a niece that had a baby. I am loving spending time with my nephews that I adore and now I have two more babies to love! It is just so amazing to be able to do things now that I couldn't do before. Simple joys like visiting people instead of them having to visit me because I didn't have enough breath to leave home. Or being able to shop without having to sit down to rest and being able to go to church again. This is the time of year when people reflect on the year and what we are thankful for. I am thankful to My Lord God for his merciful love for me and my family. I know without Him I would not be here today.
Since I am behind on my blogging, here is a summary of what's been happening since my last post:
Back in July me and my baby sister, Melissa, went to Duke for my checkup. We had a great time touring around. We went to Duke Chapel and Duke Gardens. It was pretty hot when we went to the gardens so we didn't stay too long, but it was fun. It was Melissa's first time to fly and she was pretty nervous on the flight to NC, but coming home she was like a pro.
The end of August I lost my beloved Doberman, Diamond. She would have been 12 in April '12. She lived a long and happy life. I still miss her, but I know she is chasing cats over the rainbow bridge. I don't have any animals now. There is a beagle that showed up at our house a few months ago. He is the family pet. I live next door to my parents so he belongs to all of us.  The man that owned him said we could keep him and so far Smokey likes it here cause he hasn't left yet.
I sold Avon for almost ten years before I got sick and had to leave for Duke. I started selling again back in September. It's more fun this time because I feel good!
Thanksgiving was great. We had a big family dinner at my parent's house with most of my family there. Now it's time to gear up for Christmas. Last year I was still in NC for Thanksgiving and we got home a couple weeks before Christmas. It's nice to be home this year. I'm feeling the holiday cheer this year. Last year, not so much. I was just happy to be home. I didn't do any shopping last year so this year I plan to make up for that.
So, that is a little of what I've been doing. Just living life to the fullest!
Post again soon.................
